KOLKATA: Sourav Ganguly is no longer a part of Kolkata Knight Riders, but that won't deny their fans from seeing a bare-bodied act if the occasion demands. None other than Shah Rukh Khan has promised to take his shirt off if the men in purple lift the trophy in Chennai on May 28.
"I will take off my shirt if KKR win IPL 4," the franchisee co-owner said after the eight-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals at Eden Gardens on Sunday night, reminding everyone of Ganguly's famous shirt-waving act at the Lord's balcony after India's Natwest Trophy conquest in 2002. "I will also have eight packs by then, which I will also show off. I also intend having a KKR tattoo done on my chest."
Shah Rukh is clearly over the moon, and he has every reason to be ecstatic. The King of Bollywood has been a pauper when it comes to IPL, with the Knight Riders being the only team not to have made the semis in the three editions so far. The team, revamped and rebuilt totally before season 4, is finally looking the part. Three straight wins after a two-run opening loss have put KKR atop the standings, and the superstar is enjoying every bit of it.
